This is where the suits come to play after clocking off from Spinningfields. Ties get loosened by 6pm. Fancy cocktail bars are somehow always packed. Everyone's on LinkedIn on Monday but absolutely nobody's talking about work by Friday night. If you like your dates polished but not pretentious, this is your spot.
Student Territory: Fallowfield & Withington
Cheap pints. Messy nights. Everyone becomes best mates by 2am whether they want to or not. If you're after no-pressure, no-fuss, just-seeing-where-it-goes energy, student areas deliver. Plus the takeaway game is unmatched. Similar vibes to Leeds student scene but somehow even friendlier.
The Ancoats Scene
New builds everywhere. Rooftop bars with views. The whole area's gone proper trendy in about five years. Good for dates that might actually lead somewhere decent, or at least somewhere with good lighting for the Instagram story you'll definitely not post.
Chorlton & Didsbury Vibes
Bit more grown up. Better brunch spots for the morning after. People here have their lives semi-together, which either sounds boring or refreshing depending on where you're at. Still fun, just with better coffee and actual parking.
